Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic team member with excellent customer service skills and a desire to

build solid relationships with our customers. The primary goal of our Account Managers is to provide top-

tier customer service and ensure high customer retention. This includes responding to Request for

Quotes (RFQs) in a timely manner and the subsequent purchasing and logistics required for successfully

processing client orders.

Far North Supply, a locally owned purchasing and logistics company, is seeking an Account Manager to

join our expanding team. We are looking for a full-time team member with customer service, account

management, and / or sales experience. Mechanical, construction, or oilfield background is preferred.

This position is Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, schedule to be determined.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement and Relationship Management Build, maintain, and create strong customer relationships with new and existing clients
  • Answer sales calls for general information, addressing and resolving customer
  • concerns or questions
  • Maintain clear, timely, and consistent communication with customers
  • Quoting and Order Management
  • Ensuring the delivery of personalized customer service through timely and accurate quotations/sales orders that balance client needs with company margin goals.
  • Coordinating deliveries/order logistics on behalf of customers
  • Ensure accuracy and timely follow through of all orders from beginning to end.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management
  • Identify, Evaluate, and Maintain relationships with qualified vendors/suppliers.
  • Track supplier confirmations, shipping timelines, and delivery status
  • Effective communication with vendors/suppliers in order to perform other job functions (i.e. requesting quotes, acquiring payment terms, etc.)
  • Maintain clear and consistent vendor and item records.
  • Team Work and Collaboration
  • Partner with fellow account management team, accounting, warehouse team to provide the best possible service to customers.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse/Operations for receiving, staging, and order expediting.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills, including but not limited to:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Standard and 10-key Typing
  • Basic Mathematical Skills:
  • Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide
  • Calculating Percentages, Mark Ups, and Profit Margins
  • Highly Organized and Detail Oriented
  • Effective Communicator and Team Collaborator
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least 3 years in customer service preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in B2B sales and logistics preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of a normal office position – Walking,
  • Standing, Lifting up to 25lbs., etc.
  • Must have a clean criminal background.
