Job description

The Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by proactively managing and retaining relationships with existing mid-sized customers within an assigned territory. The Account Manager will achieve this by increasing penetration of LRS's full suite of services, fostering long-term customer loyalty, and negotiating profitable service agreements.
Reports To
Customer Retention Leader
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships by providing exceptional service and building long-term loyalty.
  • Utilize Salesforce daily to schedule and document activities, develop detailed customer profiles, and track progress.
  • Effectively communicate LRS's value proposition and unique selling points to close business and overcome objections.
  • Negotiate, update, and renew customer service agreements for account profitability.
  • Stay current on market and competitive trends to anticipate customer needs.
  • Meet regularly with sales leadership to review activity and opportunities.
  • Develop industry and company knowledge for targeted revenue growth.
  • Support company pricing initiatives by proactively communicating with customers.
  • Respond swiftly to cancellation requests and maintain accurate customer information and contract expiration dates.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to address customer service issues.
  • Build relationships by participating in company events and industry networking opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1 year of experience in account management, sales, or customer service, ideally in the waste or a business services industry.
  • Proven history of exceeding sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce or similar CRM platform and MS Office Suite.
