The Account Manager II oversees assigned Generac accounts and associated support organizations. The Account Manager II is responsible for developing short- and long-range sales strategies, growing existing business, identifying new customer opportunities, and serving as the primary liaison between customers, internal teams, and the dealer network. This role drives revenue growth through strategic account management, sales execution, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform sales strategy.

  • Develops and executes short- and long-term tactical sales plans for assigned accounts.

  • Drives field sales performance through actionable business plans that deliver customer value.

  • Builds and strengthens customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and resolving issues.

  • Partners with Marketing to launch new products, programs, and channel-specific promotions to increase market share and brand awareness.

  • Develops new customers while expanding revenue through sales and promotional opportunities with existing accounts.

  • Manages key account initiatives including projects, product line reviews (PLRs), and sales expansion opportunities.

  • Provides product knowledge training to management and sales teams while communicating critical customer and market insights to internal stakeholders.

  • Facilitates communication between customer accounts and the supporting dealer network for installations and aftermarket services.

  • Maintains customer account data, target lists, and online product information to support sales activities.

  • Collaborates routinely with the National Account Manager to align account strategies and business objectives.

  • Evaluates and improves internal and external processes to enhance operational effectiveness.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3 years of retail account experience in sales or marketing

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionallylift upto 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.

Compensation:

Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
