Recurly is backed by Accel-KKR, a leading technology-focused private equity firm with over $10 billion in capital commitments. The partnership offers Recurly access to significant capital and resources to make continued investments in technology and platform innovation and expand our go-to-market initiatives.

Recurly is a leading subscription and revenue recognition management platform at the forefront of the booming "subscription economy". We power subscriptions for clients like Paramount+, Blinkist, Soundcloud, SlingTV, Red Bull, and many more! We're currently looking for an experienced Account Manager to continue our growth. You will own the commercial relationship by driving renewals, identifying growth opportunities, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver successful business outcomes. This role combines relationship management, commercial strategy, and operational excellence to help merchants grow while achieving Recurly's retention and revenue goals.

What You'll Do
  • Own the commercial relationship for an assigned portfolio of SMB merchants, serving as the primary point of contact for renewals and growth opportunities.
  • Drive merchant retention by leading the end-to-end renewal process, including forecasting, pricing, negotiations, quoting, and contract execution.
  • Identify and close expansion opportunities by understanding merchants' business objectives and aligning Recurly solutions to their evolving needs.
  • Build trusted relationships with merchant stakeholders and proactively identify and mitigate churn risk.
  • Partner with Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Product, Finance, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Technical Support to deliver successful merchant outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, opportunity management, and merchant records in Salesforce while ensuring timely execution of commercial activities.
  • Monitor merchant health, product usage, and business trends to identify risks, expansion opportunities, and long-term growth potential.
  • Consistently achieve retention, expansion, and revenue performance goals while delivering an exceptional merchant experience.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS account management, renewals, customer success, sales, or another customer-facing role.
  • Proven success achieving retention, renewal, and expansion goals.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume portfolio while balancing competing priorities.
  • Strong business acumen with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
