ASSA ABLOY is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to support and grow a portfolio of strategic customer accounts. This is an on-site role based out of our Grand Canyon Service or regional manufacturing facility located in Phoenix, Arizona.

What will you do as our Strategic Account Manager?
You will serve as the primary business partner for assigned strategic customers, helping drive revenue growth, customer retention, and long-term account success. Through strategic account planning, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration, you will identify new growth opportunities, strengthen customer loyalty, expand share of wallet, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This role serves as both an advocate for our customers and a champion of ASSA ABLOY's products, services, and capabilities.
You will also:
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to increase revenue, customer retention, and share of wallet within assigned accounts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities that drive profitable growth
  • Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance, identify opportunities, and strengthen customer partnerships
  • Build relationships with executives, project managers, purchasing teams, and field personnel within customer organizations
  • Partner with the ASSA ABLOY DSS Team and other business units to maximize customer growth opportunities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic accounts
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer objectives, challenges, and operational needs
  • Promote awareness and utilization of ASSA ABLOY products, programs, services, and capabilities
  • Address customer concerns and coordinate timely issue resolution
  • Lead monthly customer pulse calls and ongoing account communications
  • Analyze customer purchasing patterns, service metrics, quote conversion rates, and profitability data
  • Develop recommendations that improve customer satisfaction, communication, service levels, and operational effectiveness
  • Prepare and deliver reporting on account activity, business reviews, growth initiatives, and pipeline opportunities
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Operations, Production, Project Services, Quality, Logistics, DSS, and Sales teams to ensure successful customer outcomes
  • Provide quote support, quote follow-up, order review, and order entry assistance as needed
  • Facilitate communication regarding order status, lead times, deliveries, and project updates
  • Support onboarding and development of Customer Service Representatives and other team members
  • Lead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Strategic Account Segments
The Strategic Account Manager will support a portfolio that may include:
  • Multi-Branch National Accounts
  • ASSA ABLOY Service Center Program (AASC) Accounts
  • Aftermarket Accounts
  • High-Potential Growth Accounts

The Skills and Experience you need:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, business development, sales, project management, customer success, customer service leadership, or related roles
  • Industry experience in doors, frames, hardware, construction, building materials, architectural products, manufacturing, or related fields
  • Proven track record of building customer relationships, driving revenue growth and managing complex customer accounts
  • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging customer data to make business recommendations and improve performance
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills including experience engaging executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and project management capabilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Experience managing multi-location customer accounts, distributors, or contract hardware relationships preferred
  • Experience conducting business reviews and executive-level presentations preferred
  • Knowledge of hollow metal doors and frames, door hardware, opening solutions, or commercial construction products preferred
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, quoting, or project management systems preferred
