Many Account Executives use CRM software and regular check-ins with both clients and internal teams to stay on top of tasks and foster long-term relationships.

Job description

Account Executive – Sales

Location: New York City – On-site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–7:00 PM
uncapped commissions

About the Role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, driven Founding Account Executive to join a rapidly growing education technology company. This is a true hunter role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and closing business.

You will be responsible for developing your own pipeline, conducting outbound prospecting, running sales conversations and ultimately closing new accounts. There is no expectation that you simply wait for leads to come to you — this role requires someone who is proactive, resourceful and willing to put in the work.

The right candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth and earning potential.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting through calls, email and other channels.
  • Identify decision-makers and develop relationships with prospects.
  • Run discovery calls, presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
  • Attend conferences, networking events and industry meetings.
  • Develop creative strategies for generating new business.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.
  • Work closely with leadership and other teams to improve the sales process.
  • Help develop a repeatable sales playbook as the company continues to grow.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of successful B2B sales experience.
  • Demonstrated history of hitting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle.
  • Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Highly competitive, persistent and motivated.
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently without needing constant direction.
  • Willingness to work long hours and do whatever is necessary to win.

This is not a traditional 9-to-5 sales position. We are looking for someone who is genuinely entrepreneurial, takes ownership and is excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
