POSITION SUMMARY:

An Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships, engaging with key business executives, and preparing sales reports and proposals.  Their primary role includes identifying potential business opportunities, understanding client needs, presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and closing deals to meet sales targets. Additionally, the Account Manager will collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, including Client Services and Product Development, to enhance the customer experience. This position may require occasional travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs, proactively addressing concerns, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for their assigned account management matters. 
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to our contractual obligation 

Presentation and Communication:

  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage client input and feedback for all projects with detailed directions and timelines

Sales and Quota attainment

  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Cross-sell and upsell additional products and services to existing clients. 
  • In collaboration with your sales manager, you will develop a strategy to introduce your clients to new products.
  • Assist in contract negotiation to close agreements and maximize profits

Reporting and Analysis

  • Track sales performance, analyze market trends, and provide insightful reports to management. 
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Ensure accurate and timely forecasting and reporting for management visibility.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, customer support, and other internal teams to ensure smooth client experience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute the lead generation program

        Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Required:

AS/BA degree or equivalent in business, healthcare, IT, or related area.

Experience Required:

  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Proven work experience as an Account Executive/Account Manager or relevant role.
  • Effectively present complex information in an organized manner both verbally and in writing to decision-makers.
  • Two to four years of sales management is preferred.
