Business Development Manager Phoenix

NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing Phoenix team. This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid work model and regular in-person activity throughout the market.

Compensation: $90,000$110,000 base salary, depending on experience, plus commission, health benefits, and a 401(k).

NOW CFO provides outsourced accounting and financial consulting solutions to businesses across the Phoenix area. While accounting or finance experience is preferred, the most important qualifications are strong relationship-building skills, business acumen, and the ability to generate new opportunities.

The ideal candidate has deep ties to the Phoenix business community, an established local network, and a polished, outgoing approach to business development.

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, LinkedIn, and community involvement.
  • Build relationships with business owners, executives, and key Centers of Influence.
  • Develop referral partnerships with CPA firms, banks, private equity firms, and other professional service organizations.
  • Conduct introductory and discovery conversations to understand prospective clients challenges and priorities.
  • Connect qualified prospects with NOW CFOs Directors, who will manage scoping and proposal development.
  • Advance opportunities through the sales process and support a smooth handoff into service delivery.
  • Plan, host, and attend events that strengthen NOW CFOs presence in the Phoenix market.
  • Maintain consistent prospect, referral partner, and client activity.
  • Keep CRM records, pipeline information, and follow-up activity accurate and current.
  • Build long-term client relationships that support retention, referrals, and continued growth.
Qualifications
  • Proven success in business development, relationship management, account executive, or consultative sales roles.
  • An established professional network within the Phoenix metropolitan area.
  • Strong familiarity with the local business community.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with business owners and executive-level leaders.
