Job description

About the Team
Our Account Development team partners with merchants across the U.S. to unlock their full growth potential on DoorDash. Our mission is to give every merchant the tools to grow first-party sales, deliver standout guest experiences, and operate more efficiently. Backed by a powerful suite of products - including Drive On-Demand, Online Ordering, and more - we equip merchants to scale their business on their terms.
About the Role
We're looking for driven sales professionals to join us as Associate Strategic Account Development Executives. This is a virtual-first, high-velocity sales role where you will introduce merchants to the DoorDash Commerce Platform, run product demos, and guide them through the full sales cycle-from initial outreach to signed agreement.
As part of this team, you'll build deep product expertise, guide merchants through implementation requirements, and help them modernize their digital ordering experience. This team plays a critical role in scaling DoorDash's next major product line.
You'll report to a Strategic Account Development Manager and work primarily with the outbound Commerce Platform team.
This position is fully remote with minimal travel, and the majority of selling is done via cold outreach, outbound prospecting, and Zoom-based discovery and demos.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will...
  • Run a complete, fast-paced sales cycle, from cold outreach through signed contract and handoff to Implementation.
  • Drive high-volume pipeline management across a large book of SMB accounts.
  • Conduct virtual discovery, demos, and product recommendations tailored to merchant needs.
  • Educate merchants on key components of the DoorDash Commerce Platform, including POS integrations, ordering channels, loyalty features, and data insights.
  • Address technical and operational objections (e.g., integration capabilities, resource constraints, competing priorities).
  • Act as a trusted advisor, helping merchants understand how Commerce Platform can grow revenue and improve operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams-including Account Managers, Marketing, and Implementation-to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Influence product adoption and play a key role in scaling DoorDash's next major platform offering.
We're excited about you because...
  • You have 3+ years of closing experience in a high-velocity environment (less may qualify for President's Club-level performers).
  • You are a true hunter, with strong discovery skills and experience conducting outbound prospecting.
  • You excel at explaining value propositions, handling objections, and guiding merchants through technical decision-making.
  • You can manage a fast-paced pipeline and maintain exceptional organization across a high volume of active prospects.
  • You're comfortable selling SaaS solutions; restaurant tech experience is highly preferred.
  • You demonstrate strong cross-functional communication and can collaborate with Account Managers and other stakeholders.
  • You are proficient in: Salesforce, Zoom, Chorus, Outreach, Excel and data-driven storytelling
  • You confidently lead client-facing conversations and navigate complex or multi-step negotiations.
