What are access control systems?

Access control systems are security solutions that manage and regulate who can enter or access specific areas, buildings, or digital resources. They use credentials such as key cards, PIN codes, biometrics, or mobile devices to grant or deny access based on predefined permissions. These systems are widely used in offices, schools, hospitals, and other facilities to enhance security and monitor movement. Modern access control systems can also provide detailed logs, integrate with other security systems, and support remote management for increased flexibility.
