We are currently looking for a skilled Automatic & Access Control Door Technician to join our growing Service Team based out of Waterloo. This is a field-based role where you’ll work on automatic doors, access control systems, and automated gates, delivering quality installations and expert repairs for clients across the London region.


As a new Ventri family member, you will join a diverse, dynamic group of highly motivated individuals that bring with them a wide array of talents, skills and backgrounds. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Installation and service repair work on automated gates and access control systems
  • Installation and service repair work on automatic door systems
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with our valued customers
  • Read manuals and use correct resources to perform repairs for various brands of doors and gates serviced
  • Maintain inventory on company service vehicle to effectively perform service calls
  • Monitor vehicle for potential service issues and promptly report any concerns to management
  • Work efficiently in small teams to complete daily tasks and assignments
  • Rotate the afterhours phone between other employees and respond to emergency calls
  • Remain in contact with the Service Administrator throughout the day
  • Assist Project Manager with other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, rotating on-call


WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 2+ years’ experience installing or servicing automatic entry doors or related systems
  • Valid G class drivers license 
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills
  • Able to work independently and in small teams
  • Comfortable with occasional on-call shifts (shared rotation)
