Job description

EJO Ventures is seeking Temporary Access Control Installation Technicians to support a low-voltage security deployment project at an undisclosed project site in Pulaski, TN.

Technicians will be responsible for the installation of access control equipment within communications rooms, security closets, door locations, and facility common areas. Work may include mounting hardware, assisting with device installation, pulling and securing low-voltage cabling, grounding, labeling, and supporting integration of electronic security infrastructure.

This is a temporary/contract position anticipated to begin in early to mid-August 2026 and last approximately 7–10 weeks with a full-time work schedule.

Work Schedule
Anticipated Project Start: Early to Mid-August 2026
Estimated Duration: 7–10 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Saturday as needed
Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Weeks: Alternating 40-hour full-time schedules
Overtime: No overtime guarantee

Travel Time: Travel time to the Pulaski project site will be accommodated in the weekly paycheck

Key Responsibilities
Install access control equipment in communications rooms, security closets, door locations, and facility common areas.
Mount and secure access control hardware, enclosures, brackets, and associated infrastructure.
Install and support equipment including:
Access control panels and power supplies
Card readers
Door contacts
Request-to-exit devices
Electric strikes, maglocks, and related door hardware support equipment
Low-voltage cabling, terminations, and labeling
Assist with placement, securing, and organization of cabling, jumpers, and control wiring.
Complete grounding and bonding as required by project specifications and supervisor direction.
Support device rough-in, trim-out, testing, and troubleshooting under project leadership.
Maintain clean and organized work areas in active construction or operational environments.
Work from ladders, baker platforms, and personnel lifts as required.
Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, Job Safety Analyses, and project briefings.
Follow all project safety requirements, PPE standards, and site access procedures.
Coordinate daily activities under supervision of project leadership and site management.

Required Qualifications
Experience in access control, low-voltage, security systems, structured cabling, telecommunications, or commercial electrical work preferred.
Experience working in commercial construction, healthcare, institutional, industrial, public infrastructure, or secure facility environments preferred.
Ability to safely use:
Hand and power tools
Ladders and elevated work platforms
Material handling equipment
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.
Ability to work on feet for extended periods in active construction or operational environments.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work within a team environment.
Ability to follow safety procedures and installation standards.

Site Requirements
Selected candidates must:
Pass required drug screening.
Complete project safety orientation.
Comply with all jobsite credentialing and badging requirements.
Wear required PPE, including:
Sturdy work boots
Safety glasses
Hard hat
Cut-resistant gloves
