Description
Reliant Safety was founded in 2009 to provide comprehensive property security and management solutions for the affordable housing market nationwide. Reliant Safety currently maintains and monitors over 30,000 cameras across twenty states, which support approximately 42,000 residential units. We are currently seeking a CCTV/Access Control Maintenance Technician to join our rapidly growing team.
Summary/Objective: The CCTV/Access Control Maintenance Technician will effectively diagnose, repair, and integrate complex security systems, ensuring seamless functionality of CCTV, access control, and network-related components. This role aims to provide high-quality technical support, system commissioning, and maintenance while adhering to industry standards. The Security Systems Field Technician will contribute to operational efficiency by troubleshooting issues, training colleagues, and delivering timely solutions, all while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and continuous learning.
Classification: Non-exempt (overtime eligible)
Location: New York, NY (must be available to travel)
Essential Function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Analyze, diagnose, and repair complex integrated security systems
  • Troubleshoot issues related to network architecture, protocols, or other network factors.
  • Complete major systems integrations, including system commissioning
  • Maintain all company property and supplies, including but not limited to tools, equipment, parts, and documentation
  • Be available for after-hours emergency support and participate in an on-call rotation with other support technicians
  • Accurately record and maintain detailed documentation of all inquiries, issues, and service requests in the support database
  • Deliver technical training and guidance to colleagues as needed

Requirements:
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Up to 25% travel
  • Must be comfortable working on tall ladders and in attics/crawl spaces
  • Minimum 1 year of CCTV or access control experience
  • Proficiency in various CCTV and access control products and security architecture
  • Knowledge of analog cameras, systems, embedded DVRs
  • Must be able to troubleshoot analog systems diligently
  • Proficiency with IP platform camera systems is required
  • Experience in access control platforms preferred (S2 a plus)
  • Proficiency in network architecture and protocols
  • Must be able to configure IP addresses and set up subnets
  • Experience in a variety of Windows desktop/server operating systems
  • OSHA 30 + SST 10 certifications a plus

Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to complete tasks with little supervision
  • Ability to quickly learn to use new software tools concerning (NVMS) Network Video Management Systems
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player - ability to work well in a close employee/support environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with constant changes
  • Be prepared for travel, sometimes on short notice, and occasional after-hours support duties

Pay Range: $28.84 - 33.65 plus monthly travel stipend
