Specializing in high-tech systems, cloud-based software services and audio/video solutions for thousands of businesses, schools and properties in the greater New York Metropolitan area, POM's diverse client roster comprises a wide range of prestigious and well-known organizations. Founded in 2002, POM has handled more than 2,000 site installations, primarily focused on large offices, retail, hospitality, health care, education, and real estate (commercial, luxury residential and hi-rise).
Roles & Responsibilities
Realize Client Objectives. The Project Manager reviews the scope of work, identifies the timeline and manages project set-up, implementation and completion, i.e. safety plan, coordination of equipment procurement, mobilization of field personnel, system implementation and completion.
  • Perform site walk-downs and site reviews.
  • Assist in preparing estimate and quotes to clients for changes of scope.
  • Assist in the review and definition of project/job work scopes
  • Identify and plan for project/job specific safety items.
  • Secure and review A&E drawings and RFI construction scopes
  • Identify and define client deliverables and project closeout requirements
  • Review and verify material requirements for project/job.

Increase Profit Margin. The Project manager identifies missing comments in the scope of work to avoid project delays which could result in additional labor and material costs. Project Manager provides daily / weekly updates of project status, proactively identifying issues and communicating solutions in a timely manner insuring budget is not exceeded.
  • Update and supply revised engineering and construction changes as needed.
  • Verify any unused material is returned to company warehouse
  • Verify all tools and equipment issued to project/job are returned to company warehouse.
  • Conduct final site labor and material reconciliation review.
  • Prepare client billing and invoice with contracts and project documentation.
  • Reconcile actual site construction work with subcontractor invoice.

Exceed the Client's Expectations The Project Manager provides the client with daily / weekly project status updates, and insures that the project deliverables are complete and accurate, including preparation of As Built / Redline Drawings.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • 5 + years of Project Management Experience.
  • Ability to read/interpret and/or prepare As Built/Redline drawings.
  • Ability to read/interpret A&E drawings and RFI construction scopes.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Security & AV project management or installation experience
  • OSHA 30 Certified a plus
  • Microsoft Project a plus
  • Tigerpaw a plus
