Job Description

Ameriprise Financial is looking to add a Senior Business Systems Analyst to the team! The Senior Business Systems Analyst would provide dedicated business analysis, platform coordination, testing support, and execution oversight for AnniutyNet. This role would help translate business needs into clear requirements, coordinate with Technology, vendors, carriers, Compliance, Operations, and Product Management, and support the successful delivery of platform changes, regulatory updates, product launches, and production issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Annuity Product Management, Technology, vendors, carriers, Compliance, Operations, and other stakeholders to define business requirements for AnnuityNet related changes.
  • Support carrier onboarding, product launches, product changes, disclosure and form updates, fee-based annuity work, Can Sell enhancements, and regulatory initiatives.
  • Draft, refine, and maintain business requirements, work requests, process documentation, issue logs, release readiness materials, and stakeholder updates.
  • Coordinate analysis and follow-up with Zinnia, internal technology teams, cross-commit systems, and business partners to resolve questions, dependencies, defects, and production issues.
  • Support test planning, test case development, user acceptance testing, regression testing, production validation, and defect retesting for AnnuityNet and e-Signature releases.
  • Monitor release readiness, track risks and open items, elevate barriers, and help ensure launch activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide platform subject matter support for AnnuityNet carrier questions, form tagging, prefill logic, digital signature conditions, audit logs, advisor impacts, and service team readiness.
  • Develop reporting, status updates, and business insights to help leadership understand workload, risks, dependencies, and progress against platform priorities.
  • Solve complex system and system-related problems, resulting in timely and accurate document reporting and project team communication.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, technology, operations, finance, insurance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of business analysis, platform support, product support, operations, technology delivery, or financial services experience.
  • Strong business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, documentation, process mapping, issue analysis, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience supporting financial services, insurance, annuity, brokerage, technology, operations, or regulated platform work.
  • Ability to translate complex business, operational, regulatory, and technology needs into clear requirements and actionable delivery plans.
  • Strong testing coordination skills, including user acceptance testing, regression testing, defect tracking, and release validation.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to work across Product, Technology, Compliance, Operations, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, risks, and dependencies in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, communicate clearly with senior stakeholders, and drive follow-through on risks, dependencies, and open items.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of annuity processing preferably with AnnuityNet, e-Signature workflows, carrier connectivity, forms/disclosures, advisor experience, or production support is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, supporting testing, managing issue resolution, and coordinating across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of annuity, insurance, brokerage, or regulated financial services processes preferred.
  • Experience with digital transaction platforms, e-Signature workflows, vendor-supported systems, forms/disclosures, or production support preferred.
In-Office Collaboration

We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Visa Sponsorship

Applicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).

Base Pay Salary

Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
