Data and AI Solutions Architect, Lead
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Lead Data and AI Solutions Architect to strengthen our technical solutioning, delivery architecture, and growth capabilities across Navy accounts. This role is intended for a senior technical leader who can bridge strategy, architecture, delivery, and business development. The ideal candidate will help shape data, analytics, cloud, AI / ML, and MLOps solutions for larger client opportunities while also improving the technical foundations of active delivery work.
The organization has strong data science cap ability to day, but needs deeper architecture and solutioning expertise to pursue larger opportunities, deliver more complete solutions, improve technical design quality, and build reusable offerings that can scale across accounts.
You will work closely with account leaders, capture teams, proposal teams, program managers, data scientists, data engineers, cloud engineers, and client stakeholders to define practical, technically-sound solutions that are executable in federal environments.
What You'll Work On:
  • Lead the design of end-to-end data, analytics, cloud, AI / ML, and MLOps solutions for Navy clients.
  • Translate client mission needs, business problems, and technical constraints into scalable solution architectures.
  • Define target-state architectures, integration patterns, data flows, platform recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Review and improve technical designs across active projects to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned to client needs.
  • Establish reusable technical standards, reference architectures, delivery patterns, and best practices across data and AI e nga gements.
  • Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, including data scientists, data engineers, BI developers, cloud engineers, and program delivery staff.
  • Identify technical risks early and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Support capture and proposal efforts by shaping technical solutions for new and recompete opportunities.
  • Develop solution approaches, technical volumes, staffing models, cost estimates, implementation plans, and architecture narratives.
  • Partner with account and growth teams to identify expansion opportunities within existing Navy accounts.
  • Help convert client pain points into credible solution offerings and delivery concepts.
  • Build reusable solution offerings, accelerators, and architecture patterns that can be leveraged across multiple pursuits.
  • Participate in client discussions, solutioning workshops, technical exchanges, and verbal presentations, as needed.
  • Strengthen technical delivery by improving architecture discipline, design review processes, and implementation standards.
  • Help teams move from point solutions to more complete, enterprise-ready capabilities.
  • Provide guidance on data pipelines, cloud data platforms, ETL / ELT, analytics environments, MLOps, APIs, and AI / ML deployment patterns.
  • Support delivery teams in making appropriate tradeoffs across cost, timeline, security, scalability, maintainability, and mission impact.
  • Mentor technical staff and help grow architecture and solutioning depth across the team.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience in data, analytics, cloud, AI / ML, sof t war e, or enterprise technology delivery
  • Experience designing and delivering data or analytics solutions in regulated environments such as the federal of defense environment
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, Databricks, Python, SQL, ETL / ELT pipelines, and MLOps concepts and delivery patterns
  • Experience supporting technical solutioning for proposals, captures, growth opportunities, or client expansion efforts
  • Experience reviewing technical designs and advising delivery teams on architecture improvements
  • Knowledge of data architecture, cloud architecture, data engineering, analytics platforms, and AI / ML solution patterns
  • Ability to estimate technical level of effort, staffing needs, delivery timelines, and implementation tradeoffs
  • Ability to operate across delivery, growth, and leadership contexts
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, CS, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Analytics

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Navy, or federal civilian data and analytics programs, mentoring technical teams, or building reusable solution accelerators
  • Experience with secure government cloud environments, federal data platforms, or DoD enterprise analytics ecosystems
  • Experience with cybersecurity, RMF, NIST, data governance, data quality, or compliance-driven delivery environments
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Experience with APIs, data integration, lakehouse architectures, data mesh concepts, or enterprise data platforms
  • Experience with GenAI, RAG, LLM-enabled applications, model deployment, or responsible AI implementation
  • Possession of strong written and verbal communication skills, for translating technical concepts to executive, client, and proposal audiences
  • Master's degree in an Analytics, Engineering, Business, or related technical field
  • Cloud or Architecture Certification s such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Databricks, or similar Certification
  • PMP, SAFe, Agile, Security+, or similar Delivery or Federal Certification s

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
