What is an Accelerated Development Program?

An Accelerated Development Program (ADP) is a structured initiative offered by companies to fast-track the professional growth of high-potential employees or recent graduates. These programs typically combine job rotations, mentorship, formal training, and real-world project assignments to help participants quickly gain diverse skills and experiences across different business areas. The goal is to prepare individuals for leadership or specialized roles in a shorter timeframe than traditional career paths. ADPs are commonly found in large organizations and can last from several months to a few years, depending on the company and industry.

What can I expect from the mentorship and training components of an Accelerated Development Program?

Accelerated Development Programs are structured to provide robust mentorship and hands-on training, often pairing participants with experienced leaders or managers who offer guidance and feedback throughout the program. You can expect a mix of formal classroom sessions, on-the-job rotations across various departments, and regular check-ins with your mentor to discuss progress and career goals. This combination is designed to help you quickly gain practical experience, develop leadership skills, and build a strong professional network within the organization, setting you up for rapid career advancement.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in an Accelerated Development Program, and why are they important?

To thrive in an Accelerated Development Program, candidates typically need a strong academic background, leadership potential, and relevant work or internship experience. Familiarity with project management tools, data analysis software, and sometimes specific industry certifications (such as Six Sigma or PMP) is often expected. Outstanding communication, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities set top participants apart. These competencies are crucial as the program is designed to fast-track high-potential individuals into leadership roles where both technical and interpersonal skills drive success.

Job description

OVERVIEW
The Alzheimer's Disease Data Initiative is a coalition of leading academic, advocacy, government, industry, and philanthropy organizations that recognizes the need for dementia researchers to find easier ways to share unpublished data, analytical tools, and scientific findings. These partners are working together to accelerate progress towards new diagnostics, treatments, and cures in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD).
In 2020, the AD Data Initiative publicly launched a non-profit organization to implement the mission of the AD Data Initiative coalition and lead us to a future where open data and global collaboration power the end of ADRD.
The AD Data Initiative removes silos by unlocking important ADRD datasets, enabling seamless access to interoperable data sharing platforms, empowering researchers and fostering collaboration to accelerate new breakthroughs.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Program Analyst to support and execute thepartnerships strategy of the Alzheimer's Disease Data Initiative. This role is focused on building, managing, and operationalizing partnerships that expand data sharing, improve interoperability with our platform - AD Workbench, and onboard new tools, datasets, and capabilities.
This is a highly execution-oriented role requiring strong project management, partner coordination, and relationship management skills. The Program Analyst will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure partnerships are effectively structured, implemented, and tracked against clear milestones and outcomes
Core Responsibilities for the Analyst are as follows:
Partnership Development & Coalition Building
  • Support the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of new partners aligned with AD Data Initiative priorities (e.g., data contributors, platform integrators, tool developers)
  • Contribute to coalition-building efforts by coordinating across a diverse set of stakeholders including academic institutions, industry partners, and non-profits
  • Design and implement a partner engagement and onboarding strategy, including development of supporting tools, processes, and materials to enable consistent and scalable partner engagement

Partnership Management & Execution
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of coordination for select partnerships, ensuring clear communication, follow-up, and progress against goals
  • Track partnership deliverables related to data sharing, interoperability, and tool/platform integration
  • Develop dashboards and trackers and maintain them to monitor partnership status, risks, timelines, and outcomes - including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM systems
  • Support the development, execution, and tracking of partnership agreements, including grants, contracts, and data-sharing agreements and liaise with internal and external legal stakeholders

Platform & Data Ecosystem Coordination
  • Coordinate with technical and product teams to support onboarding of datasets, tools, and platform features
  • Track progress of integrations and ensure partners meet technical and operational requirements
  • Help identify and resolve blockers associated with data sharing goals

Project Management & Reporting
  • Manage multiple partnership workstreams simultaneously, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met and risks/dependencies on related workstreams are surfaced and addressed
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reporting materials to provide visibility into partnership performance
  • Prepare concise updates for internal leadership on partnership pipeline, progress, and outcomes

You are the ideal candidate if you are:
  • A strong project manager: You can independently manage multiple complex workstreams, keep stakeholders aligned, demonstrate attention to detail, proactively follow up with stakeholders, and ensure deliverables are met on time
  • Execution-focused: You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with a bias toward action and follow-through
  • Experienced in partnership management: You understand how to build and maintain relationships while driving toward concrete outputs and accountability
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: You can bring structure to evolving processes and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment
  • A clear communicator: You can synthesize information and communicate status, risks, and next steps to diverse audiences
  • Skilled at working across stakeholders: You can coordinate effectively across technical, academic, and operational partners

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience in managing partnerships or coalitions, including tracking deliverables and coordinating across organizations
  • Experience organizing and driving complex projects while effectively balancing multiple priorities on tight timelines
  • Experience supporting or managing grant agreements, contracts, or data-sharing agreements strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with data platforms, data sharing initiatives, or interoperability efforts is highly preferred
