About the Position

Maricopa County Human Resources is scaling up our HRIS Team! We're currently seeking an HRIS (Workday) Analyst who will primarily support Workday Time and Absence configuration, reporting, and/or integrations. You will work on the HRIS team and collaborate closely with internal customers to ensure that Maricopa County employees have the necessary tools and resources to serve our residents across the nation's fourth-largest county.

This position requires demonstrated experience serving as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams on Workday projects. This includes gathering requirements, communicating potential impacts and outcomes to stakeholders, configuration, documenting information to technical and non-technical users, and working cross-functionally in support of Workday projects. We Require

  • Five years of demonstrated experience serving as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams on projects in Workday. This includes requirements gathering, configuring, communicating/documenting information to technical and non-technical users, and working cross-functionally in support of Workday projects.
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

Job Contributions

  • Responsible for the identification, development, and recommendation of business processes and system changes and improvements
  • Work closely with County stakeholders to understand and evaluate business needs and processes, and analyze the impact of system changes
  • Conduct needs assessments, evaluate standard operating procedures, model process improvements, develop functional and process requirements, create process flow documentation, participate in implementation testing, and provide training to functional areas and staff
  • Responsible for production system support, which includes, but is not limited to, escalated research assistance
  • Assist with integrations, which includes gathering requirements, development, testing, and creating and/or updating technical/functional documentation
  • Assist with reporting, which includes gathering requirements, development, testing, migration, and creating and/or updating documentation
  • Creates user documentation to explain how to use Workday

Working Conditions

Work is generally performed in an office environment. Hybrid telework and alternate work schedules may be available after an initial training period. Tasks require manual dexterity of hands and body to operate office equipment and manage frequent interruptions, time pressures, varying work volumes, and multiple, complicated, and unscheduled tasks.
