Position Summary: Credence has an immediate opening for a highly skilled Security Engineer / Network Engineer to support and secure a mission-critical AWS GovCloud environment within a DoD-aligned ecosystem. This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing security controls across cloud and network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards while supporting operational resilience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below: - Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS GovCloud infrastructure and hybrid environments - Support security operations including monitoring, detection, and response activities - Configure and manage network security solutions including firewalls and WAFs - Integrate and support SIEM solutions for centralized logging and threat detection - Perform vulnerability management including scanning and remediation tracking - Ensure compliance with DoD requirements (STIGs, RMF, NIST) - Support incident response efforts including triage and containment - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture - Support continuous monitoring and audit readiness Requirements - Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Must hold an Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance - Must have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, or cloud security - Must be experience with AWS (GovCloud preferred) - Must have strong network security knowledge (firewalls, WAFs) - Must have experience with SIEM tools - Must have working knowledge of NIST 800-53, RMF, and STIGs Salary Range: $ 120,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, education, skills, and overall qualifications.
