At MediaNet AV, you’ll be part of a team that delivers exceptional service and cutting-edge technology to clients, making a real impact in the AV industry.Role Overview:The AVL Installation Technician plays a key role in supporting installation projects, training clients post-installation, and providing ongoing support as they use AVL systems. This position involves hands-on installation tasks, technical configuration, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service. This role will include different tasks based on project. A strong applicant can be flexible, troubleshoot efficiently and be a positive reflection for MediaNet AV at all times.Key Responsibilities:Installation
  • Conduct on-site technical reviews before installation to create custom training guides for clients, including churches and businesses.

  • Review system designs and Statements of Work (SOWs) for project preparation.

  • Program system components, particularly Q-SYS, Extron, Nyquist and IP products (i.e. Dante, Netgear), as part of the installation setup.

  • Configure rack enclosures, cable management, and equipment as per system design at MediaNet AV’s office.

  • Thoroughly review system designs for functionality and accuracy, preparing documentation and configurations based on design analyses.

  • Assist with cable scheduling, planning, and on-site installation tasks to ensure project accuracy.Complete installation task list, which will vary per project. This may include but is not limited to:

  • Project Preparation: Review system designs and Statements of Work (SOWs) for each upcoming project.

  • Cable Management: Assist with cable scheduling, cable paths, cable pulls, cable termination, labeling, and installation tasks.

  • Installation Tasks: Perform duties and tasks as directed during the installation process, including termination, configurations, and detailed work.

  • Inventory Management: Take weekly inventory of supplies in vans and warehouse.

  • Project Inventory Allocation: Allocate project inventory to vans and job sites on a daily/weekly basis.

  • Customer Communication: Respond to customer phone calls on the same day if possible and emails within 24 hours of receiving them.

  • Rack Configuration: Provide preliminary configuration of rack enclosures, enclosure cable management, and equipment housed in enclosures at MediaNet Office as per system design..

  • Read and execute detailed project schematics and cable schedules to document cable paths and connections accurately.

  • Provide comprehensive system training to clients, including detailed checklists and troubleshooting resources for ease of use.

  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.

Training
  • Extron/Dante training will be required within first 6 months in this role.

  • Offer hands-on training and on-site assistance as needed.

Post-Installation Duties
  • Ensure all tasks on the job site are completed and everything is tidy and clean prior to completing close out documents.
Personal and Professional Growth
  • Represent MediaNet AV well at all times.
  • Set monthly and yearly personal development goals to continually improve technical skills and customer service capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Reporting Structure:Reports directly to the Project Manager.Qualifications:
