Job description

Team Overview

Anduril's Technical Publications organization supports complex hardware, software, autonomy, and defense systems across multiple divisions, business lines, and programs. Technical Publications Managers and writers are aligned to specific programs, and this role keeps the department's intake, staffing, and priority decisions moving as program demand changes.

Role Specifics

As the Technical Publications Operations Manager, your mission is to own how Technical Publications work is received, prioritized, staffed, and tracked across programs. You will run Jira intake, resource allocation, throughput tracking, and cross-program priority resolution for the department. You will work daily with the Head of Technical Publications, Senior Technical Publications Managers, and program-level Technical Publications Managers to translate incoming demand into sequencing and staffing decisions. This is an execution role for someone who can sequence competing program demands, make firm staffing decisions, and keep leadership current on delivery status and anything that needs their attention.

What You'll Do
  • Own department-level Jira intake, triage, workflow governance, and priority routing for Technical Publications work.
  • Decide how work is sequenced and staffed when program priorities compete.
  • Own the department's view of workload, throughput, blockers, delivery risk, and capacity across the work portfolio.
  • Reallocate writers against changing program demand and escalate only the conflicts that genuinely require leadership decision.
  • Build and maintain the reporting and operating metrics that leadership uses to assess department performance and staffing needs.
  • Run recurring execution reviews, planning sessions, and follow-up to completion.
  • Coordinate with Mission Readiness, Engineering, Program Management, Training, ILS, Support, and Product to keep publication work aligned with program schedules.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, program management, resource planning, or workflow ownership in a technical environment.
  • Experience owning intake, prioritization, throughput tracking, or resource allocation for a multi-stakeholder team.
  • Experience driving execution across teams where you did not have direct reporting authority.
  • Experience using Jira or a comparable work-management system as an operating system of record.
  • Ability to make timely, evidence-based resourcing and prioritization decisions.
  • Willingness to make and defend firm staffing and sequencing decisions among programs with competing priorities.
  • Must be eligible for Secret and higher security clearance (US).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomy, manufacturing, or another complex technical environment.
  • Experience supporting technical publications, sustainment, training, ILS, or another documentation-heavy delivery function.
  • Familiarity with formal deliverables such as CDRLs, DMRLs, technical manuals, or similar customer-committed outputs.
  • Experience building operating metrics, dashboards, or staffing views for department leadership
