Job description

Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technologist 3 to join the team. This role will be Full-time

Neurodiagnostic Technologist 3 Job Responsibilities:

  • Writes a comprehensive patient history by gathering appropriate information from patients, patients' records and/or family members to include, but not be limited to, seizure types, date of last seizure and other neurological symptomatology and medications as documented in patients' charts.
  • Conducts procedures at Inova Health System affiliated hospitals as requested. Assumes responsibility for the safety and well-being of patients at all times.
  • Performs routine, ambulatory, neonatal exams, long-term video electroencephalography (EEG), evoked potentials, SPECT scans, WADA's and Tilt table with video EEGs.
  • Conducts Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential studies by utilizing knowledge of audiology instrumentation and pattern recognition as well as Visual Evoked Potential studies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High School or GED; Graduate from an accredited program for Electro-neurodiagnostic Technology and five years of experience in Neurodiagnostics or a Neurophysiological field is required; Registry as a R.EEG.T. , is required. One additional credential is preferred: R.EP.T. CLTM, CNIM. An Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired
  • Licensure: None required
  • Certification: Basic Life Support Upon Start; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Upon Start; Registry as a R.EEG.T; Successful completion of examination for registration by ABRET (Electroencephalograph and/or Evoked Potential) or completion of examination
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in the Neurodiagnostic field in an inpatient or office setting. Experience performing advanced EEG/evoked potential studies
