Buyer / Planner

Direct Hire Opportunity | Westbrook, CT Area
Salary: Up to $75,000 (DOE)

Are you a strategic purchasing professional with experience in manufacturing? We're partnering with a well-established manufacturer seeking a Buyer/Planner to support purchasing, production planning, inventory management, and supplier relationships.

What You'll Do
  • Source and purchase raw materials, finished goods, packaging, and outsourced services
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements to drive cost savings and ensure on-time delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance, quality, and service levels
  • Create and manage production schedules based on demand forecasts and manufacturing requirements
  • Coordinate material releases and inventory levels to support efficient production and timely order fulfillment
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to maintain accurate BOMs, item records, supplier data, and corrective actions
  • Maintain ERP system data, track inventory discrepancies, and prepare purchasing and production performance reports
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and licensing requirements
Qualifications
