Director of Sales & Marketing – Hotel Operations

Location: Gulf Shores, AL

Job Type: Full‑Time | Exempt

Reports To: President of Hospitality


About the Role

A&R Group is seeking a results‑driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead commercial strategy across a multi‑property hotel portfolio. This role is heavily focused on hotel sales leadership, revenue growth, business development, and market expansion, with supporting responsibility for brand strategy and marketing execution.


What You’ll Do
  • Lead all portfolio‑wide hotel sales efforts across Group, Corporate, and Transient segments.
  • Drive new business development, national account acquisition, and key client relationships.
  • Oversee property‑level sales teams to ensure strong pipeline management and revenue performance.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to maximize RevPAR, ADR, and Occupancy.
  • Support marketing initiatives that drive direct bookings, digital visibility, and brand consistency.
  • Oversee CRM usage, forecasting accuracy, and sales reporting.
  • Manage departmental budgets and contribute to commercial strategy decisions.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive hotel or hospitality sales leadership experience.
  • 3+ years in a Director or Regional role overseeing multiple properties.
  • Proven success in revenue growth, market share expansion, and sales team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, demand generation, and brand support.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and hospitality revenue tools.
