Our client in Waterbury, CT is seeking an Operations Assistant to support financial and administrative functions within a non-profit organization. This is a temporary assignment offering qualified candidates $25 per hour.
This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance while supporting day-to-day business and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Support bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and budget tracking
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with documentation for audits and compliance
- Support client financial oversight, including monitoring benefits, entitlements, and personal accounts
- Assist with regulatory reporting requirements (DDS, DSS, Social Security, etc.)
- Prepare reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other business documents
- Maintain personnel and administrative records as assigned
- Provide general administrative support to executive leadership and office operations
- Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with all policies and regulations
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with accounting or office management systems preferred
- Excellent communication and professionalism
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
