Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
You start your morning bringing a bank of 6‑axis robots online in our paint department, reviewing yesterday’s quality data and making micro-adjustments to paths and spray parameters. You fine-tune gun distance, trigger timing, and fan patterns, then run a short prove-out to verify film build, adhesion, and appearance meet OEM specs. When a defect trend appears, you dive into root-cause analysis—checking applicator settings, fluid delivery pressures, and path overlap—to get the line back to peak performance with minimal downtime.
Midday, you calibrate an applicator, update programs on a FANUC controller, and document the change in standard work. Preventive maintenance on EOAT and secondary equipment keeps the cell reliable. You close out with a clean handoff: updated robot programs, setup sheets, and notes so the next run is repeatable and consistent.
