About The Driver Provider
Founded in 1997, The Driver Provider is a premier provider of chauffeured transportation services for individual, corporate and event clients. With operations throughout the Intermountain West and continued growth across our markets, we are one of the largest chauffeured transportation companies in the nation.
We are a fast-paced, service-driven organization looking for talented professionals who take ownership, solve problems and want the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Position Summary
The Driver Provider is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting function and serve as a key financial partner to executive leadership.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate comfortably at both the strategic and tactical levels. The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, strengthen financial processes and controls, develop the accounting team and provide timely, accurate financial information to support business decisions.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment and a leadership style that combines accountability with a service-oriented approach. As our organization continues to grow, the Controller will also play an important role in identifying opportunities to modernize, automate and improve our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate accrual-based financial records in accordance with GAAP
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
  • Monitor cash flow and provide meaningful financial analysis to support executive decision-making
  • Oversee banking relationships, company credit card administration and account reconciliations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
  • Ensure appropriate accounting controls, processes and procedures are established and consistently followed
  • Manage tax filings, business licenses and other financial and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Partner with Payroll and People Operations to support accurate payroll processing and resolve accounting-related payroll matters
  • Serve as a financial resource to department leaders throughout the organization
  • Lead, coach and develop accounting team members while establishing clear expectations and accountability
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve accounting and financial processes
  • Partner closely with the CEO, fractional CFO and other members of senior leadership on financial strategy and organizational priorities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; relevant professional certification strongly preferred
  • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including demonstrated accounting leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
  • Advanced understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Strong QuickBooks experience; QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop accounting professionals
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential financial and employee information
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on leadership style with the willingness to step into the details when needed

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $95,000-$125,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
The Driver Provider offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
  • Paid time off, sick leave and paid holidays
  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability coverage
  • Voluntary term life insurance
  • Pet insurance
