As the company continues to expand through both organic growth and acquisitions, they are seeking a high-caliber Assistant Controller to join their finance leadership team. Position Summary

The Assistant Controller will partner closely with the Controller and CFO to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, strengthen internal controls, and support the company's continued growth. This individual will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and integrating newly acquired businesses while helping build scalable accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Support consolidation of multiple business entities across several states.
  • Help develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
  • Partner with operations and executive leadership to improve financial reporting and business performance.
  • Support external audits, tax compliance, and lender reporting.
  • Participate in acquisition integration efforts and process improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop members of the accounting team.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting as needed.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement across accounting functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Public accounting experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with a private equity-backed company is a significant plus.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience managing multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments.
  • ERP system experience and advanced Excel skills.
