Job description

Description
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will have full strategy and operational ownership over the enterprise-wide marketing ecosystem across all business entities within the enterprise portfolio. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this executive will transition marketing oversight from operational leadership into a dedicated growth engine designed for long-term scalability. The CMO will architect unified enterprise messaging while developing tailored positioning for each operating entity, managing paid media, email automation, content, SEO, product/service launches, and brand management. This role is vital to company revenue and expansion, establishing full visibility into marketing performance metrics (CAC, LTV, ROAS, pipeline) and building a high-performing marketing team to drive long-term business results.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strategy & Ecosystem Architecture
  • Own and execute the comprehensive marketing strategy across all enterprise ventures, tying distinct brands into a cohesive, high-growth portfolio.
  • Establish clear brand positioning, Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) messaging, and value propositions for each operating entity to ensure distinct market identity aligned with overarching enterprise goals.
  • Establish structured marketing architecture to scale growth beyond current operational capabilities and relieve executive management of tactical marketing oversight.
  • Growth Engine & Campaign Leadership
  • Oversee all demand generation channels, including paid ads (Meta, Google, LinkedIn), content marketing, SEO, email nurturing, social media, strategic partnerships, and campaign launches.
  • Build, refine, and optimize multi-channel acquisition funnels and lifecycle nurture automation to drive lead conversion and maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Budget & ROI Oversight
  • Formulate, allocate, and manage the central marketing budget across all ecosystem ventures.
  • Provide financial proof of marketing performance, continually optimizing capital deployment toward high-yield acquisition channels.
  • Analytics & Executive Reporting
  • Design and maintain key marketing metrics tracking systems, focusing on CAC, LTV, ROAS, pipeline velocity, and direct revenue contribution.
  • Deliver monthly executive reports to leadership detailing channel efficacy, pipeline health, and top-line growth impact.
  • Team Building & Leadership
  • Hire, mentor, and structure the marketing team, contractors, and agency partners to support enterprise expansion.
  • Set clear KPIs, workflow standards, and performance goals for all marketing team members.

Qualifications & Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications
Required
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3+ years directly leading and building marketing teams
  • Demonstrated success building and executing end-to-end marketing strategies across paid media, organic channels, email automation, and funnels
  • Technical fluency with modern marketing and automation tools (e.g., paid ad platforms, email marketing software, analytics, funnel builders, and AI workflow tools)
  • Strong analytical capability with direct experience managing enterprise marketing budgets and establishing ROI, CAC, LTV, and ROAS tracking models
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • Marketing experience spanning tax, finance/accounting, coaching, educational platforms, personal brands, or high-touch service-based business models
  • Experience operating within a shared-services or multi-entity enterprise framework

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strategic leadership capacity with the tactical agility to oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns hands-on.
  • Financial and analytical acumen to connect marketing expenditures directly to unit economics and revenue generation.
  • Fluency in modern AI-driven tools and workflow automation to maximize team speed and output efficiency.
  • Strong executive communication skills to articulate campaign performance, strategic plans, and budget allocations to executive stakeholders.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities to balance competing demands across distinct business lines simultaneously.

Benefits
  • Work from home
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and voluntary life insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation and sick days
  • Paid holidays
