Chef Kwame Onwuachi is a "James Beard Award winning American Chef" known for his bold, modern expression of Afro-Caribbean and West African-influenced cuisine. Chef Kwame's mission is not only to serve food, but to create spaces that honor identity, empower communities, and make guests feel connected to a larger cultural story.
JOB FOCUS:
Focus is on, but not limited to the following:
• Must be ALL ABOUT THE TEAM!
• Must "Put the Guest "1st"
• You must say "yes" and "thank you" often!
• Greet all guest warmly
• Provides exceptional customer service to all guests
• Takes inventory of the bar on a regular basis
• Provides guest with accurate information about the restaurant and property as well as entertainment offered in each as needed
• Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate guest and team members needs when the opportunity arises
• Communicates with management and service staff immediately to rectify all guest needs and requests
• Ensures work area is following the Southern Nevada Health District health codes at all times
• Follows Sahara Las Vegas Inventory Control requirements
• Keeps all stations stocked by polishing and distributing China, glassware, and silverware
• Responsible for taking orders at times as needed by the bartender
• May need to lift 1-50lbs at times
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prefer at least (1 ) year of prior experience as a Apprentice Bartending
• Ability to obtain a Valid Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Must be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic and able to multitask
• Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond
• Able to take initiative in a VIP driven and guest service focused environment
• Must have an exceptional personality and hospitality driven attitude
• Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at a time
• Has current expertise in the cocktail industry and knowledge of bar trends
