About the Role
We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team at our Swedesboro Bakery. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be accountable for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations, and maintaining product quality standards while driving continuous improvement across bakery processes. This role is vital in meeting customer demand, optimizing line performance, and ensuring compliance with production and quality specifications. This role requires you to be onsite four days per week, giving you hands-on collaboration with the team and daily exposure to the pulse of the business.
Shift & Schedule
  • Shift: 3rd Shift
  • Hours: 10:00 pm-6:30 am
  • Weekend Availability: Required

Compensation
Salary Range: $75,000-$85,000
Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing)
  • Lead and oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and product quality
  • Coordinate production schedules with Materials Management to meet inventory and customer demand
  • Monitor line performance, including downtime and waste, and implement improvements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to resolve operational issues
  • Ensure compliance with product specifications through inspection and process control
  • Train and develop team members on quality standards, equipment operation, and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, performance, and cost effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or food production, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production schedules, safety rules, and procedure manuals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to train, lead, and effectively communicate with teams in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment
  • Experience with inventory control and manufacturing systems
  • Knowledge of process improvement or production optimization methods
  • Familiarity with quality assurance standards in food production
  • Experience in supervising or leading production teams
