Job description

Location: Chicago Main - Chicago, IL 60639. Job Type: Hourly, Contract.

Overview

CTS Health is seeking compassionate and dedicated Outpatient Therapists to provide community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with underserved populations, helping individuals navigate mental health challenges, life transitions, and recovery while promoting stability, independence, and overall wellโ€‘being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients experiencing mental health, behavioral health, substance use, and lifeโ€‘transition concerns.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, behavioral screenings, risk evaluations, and diagnostic reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on client needs and clinical goals.
  • Maintain an agreedโ€‘upon caseload of approximately 15โ€“25 billable clinical hours per week, based on client demand and contractor availability.
  • Use evidenceโ€‘based interventions to help clients build coping skills, improve insight, strengthen relationships, and achieve treatment goals.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically appropriate.
  • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, care coordination, and referrals to community resources.
  • Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, community agencies, and multidisciplinary treatment teams as authorized and appropriate.
  • Complete timely and accurate assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required clinical documentation.
  • Protect client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, Illinois Medicaid, professional ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinical staffing, mental health education, workshops, or prevention activities as mutually agreed.

Qualifications
  • Possession and maintenance of full Licensure Status of any ONE of the following licenses, active and in good standing in Illinois:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW)
      • A master's or doctoral degree in social work,
      • At least 2 years of supervised postโ€‘master's clinical social work practice providing mental health services such as evaluation, treatment and prevention of mental and emotional disorders.
    • Clinical Psychologist
      • A doctoral degree and at least 2 years of supervised experience in health (1 year postdoctoral and 1 year in an organized health service program);
      • A graduate degree in psychology and at least 6 years of experience as a psychologist with at least 2 years of supervised experience in health services.
    • Psychiatrist
      • Medical degree, and
      • Successfully completed a residency program in psychiatry, accredited by either the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the American Osteopathic Association.
  • Behavioral Screening Certification in possession
  • Complete all required agency orientation and stateโ€‘mandated training.
  • Hold a valid driverโ€™s license and have reliable transportation.
  • Complete the required Illinois Medicaid IM+CANS training and certification exam.
