What are common challenges professionals face when working in a 6 month contract position?

One common challenge in a 6-month contract role is quickly adapting to new environments and team dynamics, as there's limited time to get up to speed. Contract professionals often need to rapidly understand project goals and organizational processes to deliver results within the short timeframe. Additionally, balancing workload and ensuring clear communication with both permanent staff and management can be crucial for success. Networking and planning for the next opportunity are also important, as contract roles typically have a defined end date.

What is a 6 month contract?

A '6 Month Contract' job is a temporary position where the employee is hired to work for a fixed period of six months. These roles often fill short-term needs, such as covering a leave of absence, handling a specific project, or supporting seasonal workloads. Once the contract period ends, the employment typically concludes, unless both parties agree to extend or renew the contract. Such positions may offer flexibility and the opportunity to gain experience in a new industry or company. Benefits and job security can differ from permanent roles, so it's important to review the contract details carefully.

Pigment is the AI-powered business planning and performance management platform built for agility and scale. We connect people, data, and processes in one intuitive, feature-rich solution, empowering every team—from Finance to HR—to build, adapt, and align strategic plans in real time.

Founded in 2019, Pigment is one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies globally. Industry leaders like Unilever, Snowflake, Siemens, and DPD use Pigment daily to make more informed decisions and confidently navigate any scenario.

With a team of 600+ across Paris, London, New York, Toronto, San Francisco and Austin, we've raised nearly $400M from top-tier investors and were named a Visionary in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Financial Planning Software.

At Pigment, we take smart risks, celebrate bold ideas, and challenge the status quo—all while working as one team. If you're driven by innovation and ready to make an impact at scale, we’d love to hear from you.
About The Role
We're looking for an experienced Talent Sourcer (6-month Contract) to join our Talent Acquisition team on a 6-month contract with potential for extension. In this role, you will act as an outbound talent engine and research partner, building high-quality talent pipelines across our Go-to-Market (GTM) organization.
This is a sourcing and screening role focused on identifying, engaging, and pre-qualifying passive talent. While you will touch multiple GTM functions, a primary focus will be hunting top-tier SaaS revenue talent, specifically Enterprise Account Executives and Solution Architects, in a highly competitive North America market. You'll partner closely with Senior Talent Partners and Hiring Managers to deeply understand the market, build strategic talent maps, uncover diverse talent, and proactively engage passive candidates. Success in this role is measured by the quality of talent you bring into our hiring process and the market intelligence you provide to the business.

If you're naturally curious, love finding talent others can't, enjoy building relationships, and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do:
  • Build high-quality talent pipelines across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, G&A and other strategic business functions, placing a heavy focus on complex, multi-stakeholder Enterprise Sales roles.
  • Proactively source exceptional passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, AI tools, referrals, networking, communities, and other creative sourcing techniques.
  • Develop thoughtful outreach strategies that generate high response rates and create an outstanding first impression of Pigment.
  • Partner with TA Managers and Hiring Leaders to map talent and target competitor accounts, analyze compensation trends, and provide real-time market feedback to refine hiring strategies.
  • Create talent maps identifying key companies, markets and candidate pools for current and future hiring.
  • Deliver market intelligence including compensation trends, competitor hiring activity, talent availability and hiring insights.
  • Continuously build and nurture long-term candidate relationships, even when opportunities are not immediately available.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the sourcing and qualification stages.
  • Experiment with new sourcing methodologies, AI technologies and automation to improve efficiency and hiring outcomes.
  • Champion Pigment's employer brand across every interaction with prospective candidates.
Who You Are:
  • Experience in Talent Sourcing, Executive Search or Talent Acquisition within a high-growth SaaS or technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of the North America SaaS revenue ecosystem, including familiarity with enterprise sales methodologies, deal structures, and target company tiers
  • Exceptional sourcing and headhunting capabilities with a proven track record of engaging passive talent.
  • Experience leveraging multiple sourcing channels beyond LinkedIn.
  • Strong understanding of the technology talent market across GTM and/or Corporate functions.
  • Naturally curious with excellent research skills and a passion for understanding talent markets.
  • Comfortable interpreting hiring data and sharing actionable market insights with Recruiters and Hiring Managers.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve sourcing productivity and candidate research is a plus.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building processes as the company scales.
What Success Looks Like:
  • You consistently build high-quality pipelines for critical hiring priorities.
  • Hiring Managers trust your market knowledge and sourcing expertise.
  • Recruiters rely on you to deliver exceptional candidate quality.
  • Candidates have a world-class first experience with Pigment.
  • You continuously uncover new talent pools and innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Your market insights influence hiring decisions and talent strategy.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive package aligned to your expertise and market value
  • Brand new offices at the heart of major cities including New York, San Francisco, Toronto, Paris, and London
  • Remote-friendly environment
  • High-end equipment (based on stock/availability) to do your work in the best conditions
How We Work:
  • Thrive Together:  We can only win as a team. We are all founders and do the right thing for our peers, Pigment customers, partners, and the planet
  • Never Settle: We aim to become the best at what we do by delivering with rigor and ambition every day.  Delivering means building a passionate Pigment community

This may include verification of employment history, education, and, where legally permitted, criminal records. Any checks will be conducted lawfully prior to formal employment contracts being signed, with candidate consent, and information will be treated confidentially.
