Job description

Duties:

  • Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist 
  • Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines 
  • The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases • The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist 
  • The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Strong communication skills using closed loop communication 
  • The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load 
  • Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons 
  • Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system
  • Groin management post intervention 
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment 
Skills:
  • 3-5  years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.
  • 3-5 years exp Scrub assist - required
  • Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.)
  • This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.
Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED.  
  • Associate degree.  OR
  • Completion of accredited radiographic program. 
Certiifcation:
  • NJ radiographic licensure. 
  • BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures. 
  • Current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT.  
Shift:
  • 3-12 twelve-hour shifts or 4-10 hour shift with ONCALL every 4th weekend and 1 day per week
  • 36 hours per week
  • 12 hours a day
