Job description

Under the direction of the Supervisor, the 3rd shift Team Lead is responsible for assisting with production operations, material processing, scheduling, record keeping and for the safety of all personnel working within the assigned area. Supports, encourages, and complies with all company policies and procedures and ensures the team follows safe practices and produces high quality products.
Responsibilities:
  • Team Lead assists in troubleshooting, scheduling, training and ensuring proper communication and data flow to management.
  • Assists with allocating resources to appropriate workstations based on production needs and assign tasks appropriately.
  • Team Lead should be fully trained in all processes and procedures related to department.
  • Ensures the team follows SOPs and GMPs.
  • Supports, encourages, and complies with all company policies and procedures and leads by example.
  • Make suggestions for efficiency within the department.
  • Advises, trains, and instructs associates in all aspects of work and in the safe operation of the equipment and machinery necessary for their position.
  • Works hands-on with associates to ensure products are produced to satisfaction of all policies and procedures.
  • May operate equipment to cover for associates during breaks or when department is short staffed due call outs / scheduled vacations.
  • Facilitates communication with vendors, associates, and managers for successful collaboration and accountability.
  • Comply with GMP requirements; required functions and documentation will be covered in GMP training and during on-the-job training.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Have 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Experience with FDA and GMP regulated industries preferred
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace change
  • Be customer/ associate focused and results driven
  • Organized, able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proactively makes sound decisions using discretion
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish is a plus
  • Work additional shifts beyond the regular work week as required to support the needs of the company

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).
  • Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours is this something you would be comfortable with
