Department:  Irving - 3rd Shift IQF Line 2 

Classification:  Nonexempt 

Position:  Machine Operator II (Box Maker IQF) 

Compensation:  Hourly Non-exempt 

Reports to:  Production Manager

Employment Type:  Full-time 

Qualifications:  Display positive attitude and teamwork skills.  Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test.  Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.  Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist.  Must be able and available to work overtime as required. 

Job Summary: Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following: Machine setup & operation 

Essential Functions:  

  • Setup & programs DSI 

  • Coordinates with production personnel for marinating process 

  • Stages and weighs out ingredients for marinating prine 

  • Plans for daily production run with raw ingredients for marinating prine for the next shift 

  • Maintains and monitors pick up weights on short and overages on finished products 

  • Communicates with production personnel and management on missed opportunities 

  • Daily reporting with QA for product out of specification 

  • Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following 

Production  Safety Employee relations 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client 

  • Checks quality of product 

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  

Experience: Entry level. 

Other Requirements: No other requirements necessary.  

Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present.  Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
