JOB DUTIES:
- Hanging and prepping materials for the galvanizing process in a safe and organized manner
- Operating overhead cranes and/or forklifts as necessary
- File or grind excess zinc, ash or drip marks from ends of product, deburr and clean threads on steel products that are created by the hot dipping process.
- Follow proper repair procedures of uncoated areas (how to grind & how to apply paint)
- Use zinc-based alloys (hot stick), paints containing zinc dust and sprayed zinc (metallizing) on steel products.
- Cleaning, packaging, and finishing materials after the galvanizing process is complete.
- Tracking all materials that are on site, both company stock and customer materials
