Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, switches, and related network equipment
  • Execute rack and stack activities, cable routing (fiber and copper), and proper equipment installation in active data center environments
  • Conduct live network triage and fault isolation, including identifying issues with uplinks, downlinks, ports, and connectivity
  • Interface with network engineers and project teams to test, validate, and resolve network and hardware issues
  • Install, replace, and support network components such as SFPs and other interfaces
  • Clean and inspect fiber end-faces and ensure adherence to quality and performance standards
  • Utilize computer systems and tools to monitor network activity, review port status, and document findings
  • Create, update, and manage spreadsheets (Excel) for network mapping, tracking, and reporting purposes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with data center project managers, engineers, and customers
  • Follow established grounding standards, safety protocols, and data center best practices
  • Handle sensitive customer information in compliance with NDAs, security policies, and restricted-access environments4
  • Support multiple job sites as needed, maintaining organization and consistency in varying environments
  • Ensure reliability through strong attendance, accountability, and consistent work performance
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools; ability to lift/carry/setup a 50 pound box or ladder
  • Must own low voltage tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches
  • Ability to follow directions in a repetitive task for a long duration
  • Able to work 2nd/3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure.
  • Must pass a7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Data center experience preferred
  • Install devices and cabling into empty server racks using copper, power, fiber and other connection types with limited supervision.
  • Patch in fiber and copper cables from network racks to servers with limited supervision
  • Able to terminate a jack, pull cable and "work a 90"proficiently with limited supervision.
  • Can install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cables proficiently
  • Ability to build out MDF and IDF closets including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware with minimal supervision
  • Professional working proficiency in English
Pay Rate:
$25.00/hr+
