Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and process improvement of mechanical equipment, automated PLC’s, robotics and other computer controlled equipment used to support production operations.

3rd Shift Hours (10pm - 6am; Sunday - Thursday)

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for all electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems to support both production and non-production related equipment in accordance with established standards.
  • Manages equipment calibrations, programmable device configurations and systems hardware to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, minimize equipment downtime and support improvement activities for productivity and yield enhancement.
  • Recommends and enforces maintenance safety requirements.
  • Under general supervision, coordinates the maintenance of inventories of commonly used items to maximize maintenance storage and prevent stocking of seldom used goods.
  • Develop and manage outside contractor and vendor relationships.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including but not limited to: lubricating machines.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to assign work orders to Maintenance Technicians.
  • Generates daily work logs to track work orders and status of ongoing project assignments to ensure department resources are appropriately utilized.
  • Recommends and enforces maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Maintenance experience, ideally in a rotational molding shop preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and abilities to analyze a wide variety of equipment troubleshoot problems and assess maintenance needs.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and controls aspects of Robotic equipment.
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits, PLC troubleshooting, repair and programming.
  • Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.

Compensation details: 7.24-7.25 Hourly Wage
