Scrum Master for Migration Team

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scrum Master to lead our migration team through complex application migration projects within an Agile framework. This individual will play a critical role in facilitating the assessment, planning, and execution of migrating applications to a new hosting environment. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of Agile leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum events, including Program Increment Planning, Sprint Planning, and Daily Standups.
  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum practices, ensuring adherence to SAFe Agile principles.
  • Lead application assessments, evaluating architecture, dependencies, and performance characteristics. Analyze the compatibility of applications with new hosting environments.
  • Identify risks and challenges associated with application migration and design mitigation strategies. Develop migration strategies, including lift-and-shift and refactoring approaches.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in application assessment and modernization techniques.
  • Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 5-8 years of experience in a related role, with a focus on Agile frameworks and technical project leadership.
  • Certifications: Active Agile Certification (e.g., CSM).
