Job description

This is an onsite role that will be located in Redmond, WA. 
Responsibilities:
  • Create high-quality 3D models, materials, and textures using modern Physically Based Rendering (PBR) workflows.
  • Develop assets that meet artistic, technical, and performance requirements.
  • Optimize assets for a range of performance expectations while maintaining visual fidelity.
  • Integrate, review, and polish assets created by external outsourcing partners.Help maintain quality and standards in all implemented assets.
  • Help maintain visual quality standards and ensure consistency across all implemented assets.
  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Designers, Animators, Engineers, and Production teams throughout development.
  • Document asset creation processes, technical requirements, and best practices.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to feedback and iteration requests.
  • Take ownership of assigned work and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.
Professional Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional game development experience, including shipment of at least one AAA title.
  • Demonstrated artistic and technical skills in 3D asset creation and/or related 2D art production.
  • Strong experience creating realistic hard-surface assets such as vehicles, architecture, buildings, and environmental props.
  • Deep understanding of modeling, UV mapping, texturing, material creation, and asset optimization techniques.
  • Experienced with modern game development pipelines and game engines (E.g. Unreal, Unity or a proprietary engine)
  • Proven proficiency with commercial art production software (E.g. Photoshop, Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter/Designer, etc).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving production environments.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and task ownership skills.
  • Ability to rapidly incorporate feedback and iterate on assets throughout development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional professional experience in AAA game development.
  • Experience supporting pre-production and early concept development efforts.
  • Experience creating assets for animation pipelines or working closely with animation teams.
  • Experience developing content for Open World and/or MMO titles.
  • Familiarity with outsourcing workflows and asset review processes.
Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and equity awards.
