STS Aviation Services is hiring experienced Aircraft Structures Technicians to support the prestigious VC-25B Program in San Antonio, Texas. This is a unique opportunity to work on one of the most specialized and secure aircraft platforms in the world.

Position Overview
As an Aircraft Structures Technician, you will perform structural maintenance, repairs, and modifications on transport-category aircraft, with a specific focus on the VC-25B platform. This includes both scheduled and unscheduled work performed to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform close-tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation on critical support structures (doublers, triplers, seat tracks, stringers, etc.)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, blueprints, schematics, and OEM specifications
  • Conduct sealing, painting, shimming, and preserving of structural components
  • Work with aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and other non-porous metals
  • Use professional hand tools and specialty tools including 45- and 90-degree drills, rivet guns, countersink cages, pancake adapters, and more
  • Guide and mentor junior technicians and collaborate on complex modification efforts
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and powered elevating equipment
  • Use computer systems to access documentation, submit part requests, and complete maintenance records
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Perform quality inspections and make entries in aircraft logs and records as needed
  • Maintain flexibility in shift scheduling, including potential nights, weekends, and holidays

Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of heavy aircraft structures experience (transport-category aircraft)
  • Experience with non-porous metals: aluminum, titanium, stainless steel
  • Demonstrated ability with close-tolerance structural repairs and tooling
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering documents, and technical manuals
  • Familiarity with shop math and general aviation maintenance practices
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and aircraft-related software systems
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and under physically demanding conditions
  • Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain customer approval for aircraft access
  • Dual citizenship or prior foreign citizenship may preclude access

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on VIP or specialty aircraft interiors within the past 10 years
  • Prior experience supporting military aircraft, special mission platforms, or government contracts
  • Knowledge of structural systems on wide-body aircraft or presidential support aircraft

Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ascend/descend ladders and stands, lift up to 35 lbs (occasionally more with assistance)
  • Work in noisy environments and elevated platforms
  • Frequent reaching, standing, crawling, kneeling, and exposure to hazardous materials
  • Pass visual acuity and color tests
  • Use of personal protective gear for face, eyes, ears, hands, and arms
