Job description

Responsible for leading the Bank's Commercial Banking activities in order to (a) provide superior service to existing clients, (b) expand the relationship with existing clients by providing new products and services, and (c) develop new business with a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and commercial real estate clients in the Bank's service area. The services provided include, but are not limited to, credit, deposit, and cash management. The target market is typically credits in the $100k-10 million range, if unsecured and $500k-15 million range, if secured by a 1st D/T on real estate. Deposit relationships range from $100k to $10 million.
Requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) with coursework in business and/or finance from an accredited college or equivalent work experience.

Required Experience:
  • Solid commercial banking experience, generally gained through a minimum of 10 years previous experience with the Bank's target market.
  • Proven success in generating new business.
  • Thorough understanding of local market and solid base of contacts required.
  • Foundation in credit and financial analysis.

Knowledge Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently and also function well as part of a team.
  • Strong sales skills and have demonstrated success selling to prospects in the Bank's target market through referrals, networking and cold calling

Certificates/Licenses Required:
  • Valid California Driver's License and insurance required.
