Crossing Guard Position

Crossing Guard needed at:

  • Washington Street and Swampscot Ave: two hours per day (1 AM hour/1 PM hour) 8-9 am and 3:00-4:00 pm five days per week M-F School year 180 days.

$18.80 per hour

District Crossing Guard

Qualifications:

  1. Must pass Massachusetts criminal background check
  2. Report and recommend safety related issues to the Lead Crossing Guard
  3. Bilingualism is a highly desired skill for a position, but not a requirement

Responsibilities:

  1. Proficient on current methods and regulations
  2. Monitor crosswalk and provides street crossing services for students at assigned crosswalk
  3. Report problems to the location specific Principal and Lead Crossing Guard
  4. Complies with all local laws and procedures
  5. Perform other such duties as deemed necessary by the School District
