Position Summary

The Vendor Compliance Supervisor is responsible for building productive and effective relationships throughout our community of vendors. Through these relationships, they support and enforce vendor compliance standards across inbound supply chain operations. This role helps ensure that vendors follow company routing, labeling, packaging, ASN/EDI, ticketing, and shipping requirements so inventory flows efficiently through the Fulfillment Center and into stores with minimal disruption.

This position works closely with vendors, merchants, logistics, transportation, distribution center operations, inventory control, and accounts payable to identify compliance issues, resolve root causes, and improve overall supply chain execution.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable communicating with both internal teams and external vendor partners.

Key ResponsibilitiesVendor Compliance
  • Align with Merchant Team and Supply Chain Leadership to create and maintain appropriate vendor compliance standards that maximize efficiency while minimizing compliance burden and complexity

  • Monitor vendor adherence to company compliance standards and routing guides.

  • Review inbound shipments for compliance related to:

    • ASN/EDI accuracy

    • Carton labeling

    • RFID requirements

    • Packaging standards

    • Routing instructions

    • Ticketing and carton content accuracy

    • Packing slip and documentation requirements

  • Identify, document, and track vendor violations and chargeback opportunities.

  • Communicate violations and corrective actions to vendors in a professional and timely manner.

  • Maintain vendor compliance scorecards and reporting.

  • Support onboarding and training of new vendors on compliance requirements.

  • Assist in maintaining and updating vendor routing guides and compliance manuals.

Operational Support
  • Partner with Fulfillment Center teams to investigate receiving issues, shortages, overages, damages, and mis-ships.

  • Help reduce operational friction caused by non-compliant inbound shipments.

  • Source quotes for international freight in coordination with the Merchant Team.

  • Manage, develop and optimize organizational product tagging program and compliance.

  • Coordinate with Transportation and Logistics teams regarding routing and freight compliance issues.

  • Assist in improving inbound flow, receiving productivity, and inventory accuracy.

Data & Reporting
  • Analyze compliance trends and recurring vendor issues.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly compliance reporting for leadership.

  • Track KPIs such as:

    • ASN accuracy

    • EDI compliance rates

    • Vendor scorecard performance

    • Carton accuracy

    • Routing compliance

    • Chargeback recovery

    • Inbound defect rates

  • Support audits and documentation retention requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or other related field required.

  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, retail operations, logistics, vendor compliance, EDI, or distribution center operations preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred.

  • Experience with ERP/WMS/EDI systems preferred.

  • Ability to analyze data and identify process improvement opportunities.

Preferred Experience
  • Retail or apparel industry experience.

  • Experience with EDI transactions such as 850 Purchase Orders, 856 ASNs, 810 Invoices and 846 Inventory feeds.

  • Familiarity with RFID compliance standards.

  • Experience working with vendor chargebacks or routing compliance programs.

  • Knowledge of parcel, LTL, and inbound freight operations.
