Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This position offers a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, focusing on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Unit: Medical PCU
  • Location: City, State
  • Shift: Night Shift (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Patient Ratios: 1:3 (Days, Nights, Weekends)
  • Orientation Hours: 36
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (4 shifts for every 4 weeks)
  • Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to different units within the organization as needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the PCU
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Preferred previous travel experience
  • Required experience with the Epic charting system
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in IV start and IV therapy
  • Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Management of ventilated patients and tracheostomy care
  • Care of patients with chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Ability to manage and care for patients undergoing hemodialysis
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Patient Population
