FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMUNITY BASED CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

The Franklin County Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF) is a minimum security, American Correctional Association (ACA) accredited, residential prison diversion program for adult male offenders. The Franklin County CBCF is a 180-bed facility that houses adult male offenders (referred to as residents) for a maximum of 180 days. The CBCF believes community safety is of upmost importance. Second is targeting residents criminogenic needs via intense cognitive behavioral programming in an effort to reduce their likelihood of recidivating. POSITION SUMMARY

The Operations Manager at the Franklin County Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF) is a leadership position responsible for the overall safety, security, cleanliness, and operation of the facilitys physical plant and grounds, food service department, shift operations, and fleet vehicles. The Operations Manager develops, implements, and evaluates plans related to facility maintenance, housekeeping, waste management, and operational services, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures. The Operations Manager oversees the Food Service Department, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and local health regulations, National School Lunch Program requirements, and food safety standards and Shift Operations, ensuring the facility remains safe, secure, and well-maintained while promoting adherence to facility rules, regulations, and emergency response protocols. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all assigned departments operate efficiently and effectively while maintaining compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, including those established by the American Correctional Association (ACA), the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) Bureau of Community Sanctions (BCS), and all applicable federal, state, and local laws, and support the facilitys mission by fostering a collaborative environment focused on rehabilitation and successful reintegration. This includes coordinating and implementing policies, procedures, and protocols related to facility, food service, and security operations, supporting ongoing staff development through training, performance evaluations, and coaching to ensure alignment with facility goals, staff professional development goals, and performance standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Oversight of Facilities and Food Service Staff and Facility and Food Service Compliance. Plan, coordinate, and oversee all safety and security protocols related to the facilitys physical plant and grounds and develop policies, procedures, and protocols related to facility operations. Participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training programs. Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to facility operations.Identify and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in the field of Criminal Justice or Social Science. (1) to three (3) years experience supervising/managing personnel preferred. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Knowledge of behavior management systems, de-escalation strategies, and therapeutic alliance. Experience in supervising security operations and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Ability to analyze data and recommend solutions to improve outcomes. Valid Ohio Driver License and acceptable driving record.
