Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, working night shifts with telemetry, conscious sedation, and ventilator skills required.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- 13-week contract
- Estimated patient ratio of 1:3
- Skills utilized include conscious sedation, ventilator management, and telemetry monitoring
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or Compact RN license (currently in hand)
- BLS required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience required
- Proficiency with conscious sedation, ventilator management, and telemetry
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two professional references required: at least one from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); second reference may be from a Charge RN — no coworker references accepted
Additional Information

- Former facility employees are eligible to apply once they have been away from the facility for at least 6 months
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration
- Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly upon accepting the position — candidates outside Ohio may need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet upon receipt
