Job Description Summary:

\n

This unit sees a blend of medical patients who often have consultant specialists for procedures or interventions. Examples include GI for endoscopy procedures, or Interventional Radiology for lines, drains, and injections. This unit being med/surg sees a large variety of diagnosis including but not limited to many with cardiac, renal, infectious disease, and gastrointestinal diagnosis.\n
\n
\nThis position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.\n

\n

Responsibilities And Duties:

\n

Assessment/Diagnosis - Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual (30%).\n
\n
\nOutcomes Identification/Planning - Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%).\n
\n
\nImplementation/Evaluation - Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data (20%).\n
\n
\nLeadership - Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%).\n

\nOperations (10%).\n
\n
