Job description

Rhearts LLC is seeking a DSP to join our onsite team in Columbus, OH.

Position Summary

The DSP (Direct Support Professional) provides compassionate, person-centered support to individuals in their daily lives. This role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and meaningful engagement through consistent routines and responsive care.

As a DSP, you will work as part of a dedicated team to deliver high-quality services, maintain accurate documentation, and support individuals in reaching their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, hands-on support with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and routine tasks

  • Support positive behavioral outcomes by following established plans and promoting respectful, supportive interactions

  • Facilitate day-to-day activities and skill-building opportunities that encourage independence and community participation

  • Maintain required documentation, incident reporting, and communication logs in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ensure a safe, respectful environment by following safety procedures and agency guidelines

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to provide consistent, dependable support in an onsite role

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a calm, patient, and respectful approach

  • Willingness to follow established care plans and work effectively under supervision

  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries at all times

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in caregiving, support services, or a related direct-support role

  • Familiarity with supporting individuals with behavioral or developmental needs

  • Experience maintaining documentation and completing basic reporting accurately

  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed in a full-time onsite setting

  • CPR and first-aid awareness or willingness to complete required training
