Company Description Capital City Awning is a family-owned business that has been operated by three generations of the McConnell family since 1946. With over 30 team members and annual sales averaging more than $4 million in recent years, the company is one of the largest awning providers in the Midwest. Capital City Awning specializes in custom fabric awnings and unique fabric visual components for retail, restaurant, commercial, institutional, and residential clients. The company maintains long-term relationships with major national brands that rely on its consistent product quality and dependable service. In addition to design and fabrication, Capital City Awning offers design assistance, prototype development, and repair services long after projects are completed.


Role Description This is a full-time, in-person role in Columbus OH, overseeing select projects from initial design through completion. Daily responsibilities include meeting with clients, developing client solutions, conducting site surveys, reading plans, and developing project drawings.  Eventually this manager would estimate project costs.  


Qualifications


  • Candidates should possess strong project management skills for overseeing multiple projects.
  • Written as well as verbal communication skills must be strong.
  • Candidates must be comfortable with reading and interpreting architectural drawings, and creating production drawings.
  • Attention to detail and ability to assess risks are important.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience is helpful.


Salary Range $65,000 - $75,000
